What is Dyslexia?
Dyslexia is characterized by difficulties that mainly affect reading and spelling. To some degree, about 10% of the population is affected by dyslexia.
Dyslexia tends to run in families and it affects the person for his/her whole life, but can be minimised by special ways of working and learning. Dyslexia is not related to intelligence, though it can influence, in a positive way, spacial perception, lateral thinking and creativity.

Dyslexia Treatment
A person with dyslexia can be helped with a tailor-made treatment programme once strengths and weaknesses of their learning ability has been identified with one of our specialist educational assessments.
The length of a dyslexia treatment depends on the level of severity of the student’s dyslexia. However, we have found it can take anywhere between 6 and 12 months, with fortnightly visits to the Dyslexia Treatment Centre.

Dyspraxia and ADHD
Children with dyspraxia appear no different to those who don’t have it, but may have difficulties with certain physical activities including reading and writing.
Our treatment sessions will show the pupil new ways to perform activies previously difficult to learn and perform.
Children with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) can be helped by our nutritionist and NLP practitioner.
